SceneMason is proprietary Windows desktop screenplay-writing software licensed to you. These website terms describe the service and subscription; the separate EULA presented during installation also applies to use of the application.

Monthly costs $2.99 per month for 1 device. Annual costs $24.99 per year for 2 devices. Both provide the complete application and all updates while subscribed. Lemon Squeezy handles checkout, recurring billing and subscription management.

You can cancel your recurring subscription through the billing provider. Cancellation does not end access before your paid entitlement ends while the license remains valid. Refer to your checkout and subscription information for billing details.

A valid SceneMason license and an internet connection are required for initial activation. Normal editing and creation require an active license. SceneMason periodically verifies the subscription online and allows offline writing for up to five days since the last successful verification.

You retain ownership of your screenplays and other creative work. SceneMason claims no ownership over them.

If a previously activated license becomes inactive or verification is overdue, editing and creation are restricted. Your existing screenplay files remain accessible for opening, reading, navigation and PDF export. A never-activated installation requires activation before these functions are available.

Do not share or resell your license key, circumvent SceneMason activation or licensing, or redistribute SceneMason without permission, except where applicable law permits it.

These restrictions do not limit rights granted by third-party open-source licenses. In particular, your LGPLv3 rights concerning Qt remain intact, including modification and replacement of the dynamically linked Qt libraries and reverse engineering for debugging those modifications. SceneMason includes safe saving, local backups and recovery features, but no software or storage device is free from failure. Keep independent backups of important files. Recovery copies do not replace regular manual saves or backups on another device.

We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. Nothing in these terms excludes warranties, remedies or liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, or limits your mandatory consumer rights.
