Privacy Policy

SceneMason saves screenplay content locally in .sm files. Cloud screenplay storage is not required. SceneMason does not send screenplay text as part of license activation or verification.

You choose where to save your files and whether to share them. If you choose a folder managed by another cloud service, that service is separate from SceneMason.

SceneMason communicates with Lemon Squeezy to activate, periodically validate and deactivate your license. Requests use your license key and activation information, including an instance ID; activation also uses a readable computer name. This information is needed to operate the subscription and its device allowances.

The application stores its activation record securely on your Windows computer. A local machine-identifier hash is used for a consistency check; the raw identifier is not transmitted by SceneMason. Your screenplay content is not part of these requests.

Lemon Squeezy handles payments and subscriptions. SceneMason itself does not process or store your credit-card details. See Lemon Squeezy’s Privacy Policy for its handling of checkout and licensing information.

This website is hosted through Cloudflare infrastructure. Cloudflare processes connection information needed to deliver and protect its services; see Cloudflare’s Privacy Policy.

SceneMason does not add analytics, advertising trackers or tracking cookies to this website or application. The site uses locally hosted images and system fonts.

If you email support, we receive your email address and the information or attachments you choose to send. We use them to respond to your request. You do not need to send your screenplay to ask for help.
